Agricultural Technician

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor, planter/no-till drill, chainsaws and various farm implements.
• Make hay and harvest crops.
• Perform minor facilities maintenance and fence repair.
• Work with cattle, including calving, breeding and moving cattle.
• Perform other tasks as assigned for overall operation of the AREC.
• Maintain general maintenance of all vehicles, equipment and implements.
• Inform the Superintendent and/or Farm Manager of problems that arise.

Requirements

• Experience with livestock and/or crop production.
• Experience operating agricultural equipment and vehicles.
• Ability to perform heavy manual labor and lift 75 pounds or more.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience working as a team member.
• Successful candidate must pass a criminal conviction check.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of pasture maintenance and management.
• Experience with precision ag technology.

Pay

Salary range: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour (Pay Band 1). Overtime status: Non‑Exempt – eligible for overtime.

Schedule

Approximately 29 hours per week (about 1,500 hours per year).
