About the role

Modernizing a legacy operational system using a microservices-based architecture and cutting-edge technologies.

Responsibilities

• Write Java Spring Boot-based microservice applications utilizing AWS native technologies.
• Build REST services with Spring able to filter and select complex data objects.
• Implement CI/CD principles utilizing Maven, GitLab, and GitOps.
• Practice Agile development and delivery of software.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members and stakeholders.
• Analyze, design, verify, validate, implement, apply, and maintain software systems.
• Appropriately apply discrete mathematics, probability and statistics, and other relevant topics in computer science to complex software systems.
• Generalize techniques to apply to multiple domains.
• Develop and provide appropriate documentation and training.
• Present briefings and demonstrations to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree plus 4 years of relevant experience.
• An Associate's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience or high school diploma/GED plus 10 years of experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position.
• Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required (can be waived for technical experience in domain skillsets).
• Certifications count as a year of experience.

Skills

• Proficient in software development processes and programming practices.
• Experience with software quality tools and processes.
• Ability to develop software solutions.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $78,000 to $250,000 per year, depending on work location, role, skill set, and level of expertise.
