Agile Coach with Security Clearance

About the role

The Agile Coach will support a large federal agency committed to an Agile, Product-focus, and DevSecOps operating model. The role involves overseeing Agile transformations, facilitating workshops, leading training, providing coaching, and supporting the Agile transformation across multiple teams and programs.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Agile transformation for multiple teams at both the team and program level.
  • Facilitate team workshops to help new teams understand Agile and Lean principles.
  • Create, deliver, and strategize Agile training for government stakeholders and contractors.
  • Provide hands-on mentoring to Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and team members.
  • Assist teams with sprint planning and implementation, and provide ongoing coaching support.
  • Support teams in refining their processes and setting up team boards, workflow automation, and automated reporting.
  • Define, prioritize, and decompose requirements in Product and Program Backlogs.
  • Evolve and maintain the Agile Maturity Assessment model, assess team performance, and report findings.
  • Provide feedback on processes, policies, procedures, tooling changes, and assist teams in implementing solutions to address identified issues.
  • Facilitate and coordinate cross-team planning workshops and coach other Scrum Masters.
  • Lead and participate in Agile communities of practices.
  • Prepare and/or update organization-wide Agile artifacts and methodology documentation.
  • Embed an Agile culture using various methodologies and frameworks.
  • Ensure Agile project metrics are tracked and monitored for problem areas and assist teams in implementing solutions.
  • Oversee the coaching and planning of multiple high-performing Agile development teams and large-scale programs.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with DevSecOps tools and techniques.
  • Practical Agile experience of at least 5 years.
  • Strong understanding of Agile concepts, especially SAFe, including Scrum, Kanban, Product Ownership, and Agile Scaling.
  • Experience as a hands-on organizational change agent working across multiple teams.
  • Experience with launching Agile Release Trains, building Continuous Delivery Pipelines, and empowering Lean Portfolios.
  • Experience with PI Planning events and coordinating multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs).
  • Master's degree or higher education degree in Information Technology-related field.
  • Certifications including Scaled Agile Framework SPCT, Scrum Alliance CST, ICET, Agile ICE-AC, equivalent expert/senior coaching certifications.
  • Secure coding knowledge.
  • Open-source tools management.
  • SEI-CMMI and NIST experience.
  • Project Management Training or Education such as PMP program.
