Job Summary
The Aggregate Operations Manager oversees the operations of regional aggregate mine sites.Responsibilities
- Responsible for mine planning, safety, environmental matters, cost control, production and maintenance for assigned aggregate operations
- Responsible for mine planning and mining process
- Document production statistics and produce reports as required
- Supervise production operations; manage team
- Responsible for maintaining all plant equipment
- Communicate with local community as required
- Participate in the capital and operating budget processes
- Maintain working relationships with all departments to ensure work objectives can be met
- Develop plans to work towards improved performance and lower operating costs
- Participate on the safety committee
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferredRequirements/Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience running an aggregate site
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of surveying
- Project management experience
- Commitment to safety
- Strong computer skills - presentations and reporting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred
- Working knowledge of SAP
Conditions of Employment
- Successful candidate must submit to a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check
- Some positions require Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) registration/clearance as well as ongoing alcohol and drug testing
