About the role

Nationwide's Pet Insurance is hiring Inbound Sales Agents to join the number one pet insurance sales team. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering extraordinary care and has 2+ years of sales experience, preferably in a call center environment.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and make calls from/to prospects, qualify new potential policyholders, explain policies and endorsements, recommend type of coverage based on analysis of prospect's circumstances and needs.
  • Handle inbound renewal calls and/or initiate outgoing calls, following up on existing or prior policyholders, and perform standard and recommended sales techniques and processes to retain, upgrade, sell or consult with prospects and customers.
  • Calculate and quote premium rates for recommended policies, endorsements and renewals.
  • Perform initial underwriting review of pet eligibility.
  • Follow and abide by all insurance laws and regulations as they pertain to the Sales Representative and Pet Insurance in the delivery of the details of the policy and processes.
  • Collect premiums from policyholders and input payment data.
  • Anticipate future needs and call on established customers to renew and upgrade accounts.
  • Develop personal time management and organizational tools.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation, follow up on medical and pending applications with Underwriting, vet clinics, and policy holders until the application is approved or declined by either the policyholder or Pet.
  • May perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Property and Casualty license required in all 50 states. Licensure will be covered by Nationwide.
  • Requires 2 years of Sales experience; preferably in a call center environment.
  • Professional, team-player attitude, strong computer skills.
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in standard sales process of prospecting, appointment setting, needs analysis, objection handling, presentation skills, negotiations, closing skills, account maintenance and follow-up.

  • Health and property and casualty brokerage practices and third-party administrators.
  • Sales methods and closing techniques.
  • Account management techniques.

Pay

$46,345.00 - $67,500.00

Schedule

Full-time, with schedules assigned based on business needs and commencing upon completion of full-time training. Call center operates Monday through Friday, 5:00 am - 7:00 pm (PST) and Saturdays 7:00 am - 3:30 pm (PST).
