Agent (Hybrid Schedule)
Role and Scope of Position
Responsible for a variety of tactical activities and will assist with developing the procurement sourcing strategies, managing the bid process, and negotiating the purchase of materials, equipment, and services for low dollar/complexity sourcing projects from start to finish. This position will work on projects under the direction of Sourcing Agents and Senior Sourcing Agents to support the sourcing process.
Essential Functions
- Tactical Updates, processes, and approves procurement records in a timely manner as directed.
- Provides administrative and data collection support for RFPs, pricing analysis, contract workspaces, new vendor setup, PO (purchase order) & Contract revisions, data analytics, etc.
- Provides transactional support to more senior agents to assist with strategic and category driven procurements.
- Affords management and oversight of PO and Contract Workspace life cycles.
- Affords production and data analysis to support Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) scorecards.
- Demonstrates working knowledge of corporate goals and actively assists senior agents with generating/recording cost savings, improving/reporting Tier II spend, and identifying sustainability opportunities within supply base.
- Supports and executes on the implementation of low complexity solutions and identifies opportunities for process improvements as a result of systemic issues.
Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications
- Basic knowledge of business and financial principles.
- Strong qualitative and quantitative skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with MS Office.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Zero (0) to three (3) years related experience.
Working Conditions
- Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
- Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
