We are seeking an exceptional entrepreneur to join our team as a Shelter Insurance Agent in Bettendorf, IA. Ideal candidates should have a desire to meet new people, develop new contacts, and contribute positively to their community. Passionate about serving others, you should also be eager to grow your sales, business, and networking skills.

Responsibilities

• Meet new people and develop new contacts within your community
• Become known in your local area
• Grow your sales, business, and networking skills
• Control your own income
• Start your own business without extreme start-up costs
• Develop prospects and sell Shelter products in your agency
• Bring on staff to assist with general administrative duties and improve sales

Requirements

• A motivated attitude and entrepreneurial spirit
• Skilled capacity for effective communication in a sales environment
• Some sales experience and a degree with general business courses are helpful, but not required

Qualifications

• No previous background in the insurance industry is required
• Our in-house and virtual new agent training schools, along with continuing industry education courses, help build the foundation necessary to launch your agency
• We do not require prospective agents to have capital/assets on hand to be considered for an agency
• We do not “sell” agencies or “loan” money to agents to begin their business
• We provide the opportunity to build your agency
