Active/Agent Assist/Customer Service

Starting Pay: $39,500 to $45,000/yr, depending on experience
Not paying commissions.

Work from Home Requirements

This position is eligible for 50% telecommuting after initial training period and satisfactory job performance.

What we are looking for

A self-motivated individual who responds to and initiates face-to-face, telephone, email, and written communications with policyholders/prospects for the purpose of servicing AFI (includes AFI and AFIA) products.

Core Functions

• Affords Agents with fulfillment of application processing and following up with required documentation.
• Maintains AFI policies for retention of membership.

Must have Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Two years of customer service experience in a financial services environment, or one year satisfactory job performance in clerical support/processing experience with AFI (Associates Degree may be substituted for this requirement)
• Cumbersome written communications skills
• Keyboard skills of at least 35 wpm

Nice to Have Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communications skills, to include a courteous, confident demeanor and appropriate use of grammar and vocabulary
• Working knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel and Word
• Demonstrates sound judgment and decision-making skills
• Ability to accomplish work according to established priorities and procedures

Professional Education Requirements

• Successful completion within 90 days of standardized training in Principles of Insurance, Dwelling Coverages, Homeowner Coverages, and Personal Auto Coverages
• Ability to obtain an agents license within 90 days in the position, and to maintain an unrestricted license thereafter
• Completion of AINS 101 and AINS 102 within 33 months in the position if incumbent did not have prior experience in a position with this requirement
