About the role

Old Republic Title is seeking an energetic, relationship-driven sales professional to help grow our network of business partners throughout Maryland and the District of Columbia. In this role, you will manage selected existing title agency partners while focusing on developing new business relationships and expanding our market presence. Success comes from proactively connecting with prospective partners, building strong professional relationships, and creating new opportunities through office visits, networking events, industry associations, and other outreach activities.

No title insurance experience is required. We provide comprehensive training on our industry, products, and services and welcome candidates from a variety of professional backgrounds. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, a professional presence, a proactive approach to business development, and the ability to cultivate long-term client relationships. Individuals with experience in sales, business development, financial services, real estate, customer relations, or other relationship-focused roles are encouraged to apply. Candidates must reside in Maryland and be able to travel throughout the state.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate a new customer base of agents through marketing activities.
  • Develop strategies to retain existing agents, increase their business and/or our wallet share.
  • Enhance the market presence of Old Republic Title.
  • Respond to agent service issues in a responsive and timely manner.
  • Work closely with our management team to achieve acceptable levels of profitability and market share and to create new and innovative products and services to offer our customers.
  • Participate actively in state land title association and other trade organizations and stay current with any title insurance issues affecting state operations.
  • Stay current on information related to services and products offered by the Company and by its competitors.
  • Comply with Company policies, procedures, regulatory requirements and complete mandatory company compliance training by assigned deadlines.
  • Demonstrate courtesy, flexibility, professionalism, and responsiveness to supervisor/manager, co-workers, and customer needs and expectations.

Requirements

  • Good analytical, interpersonal, communication, decision-making, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to accept supervision and direction, as well as constructive feedback.
  • Business entertainment during and after business hours as needed.
  • Some business travel required.
  • Valid driver’s license, sufficient insurance, and good driving record, free of major traffic violations and convictions for moving violations.
  • Basic computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while successfully performing under extreme time constraints and meeting prescribed deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills, with ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects.
  • Ability to act independently with sound judgment and take initiative.
  • Written and verbal communications are clear, grammatically correct, and business appropriate.

Pay

The estimated pay range for this position is $60,000-$70,000. This position may also be eligible to earn commissions based on applicable incentive compensation or commission plan(s).
