Main Purpose of Job:
In collaboration with the Director of Environment of Care, this full-time contractual position utilizes practical knowledge of fire prevention, health, & safety, applying all applicable codes, laws, and regulations, to provide a safe environment for all patients, staff, visitors, and tenants on the Spring Grove Hospital campus.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a State high school equivalency certificate.
- Experience: Two years of experience in safety inspection, safety investigation, or fire prevention.
- Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in Occupational Health and Safety classifications or Occupational Health and Safety specialty codes in the Occupational Health and Safety field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
Special Requirements:
- Candidates must provide a telephone number where they can be reached.
- Candidates must be available to work emergency shifts.
License, Registrations and Certifications:
- Candidates may be assigned duties requiring the operation of a motor vehicle.
- Candidates must possess a valid Maryland driver’s license.
