AGENCY CLAIMS SPECIALIST

About the role

Our client is a well-established independent insurance agency seeking an experienced Claims Specialist / Claims Advocate to join their team. This individual will play a critical role in supporting clients throughout the claims process while serving as a liaison between insureds, insurance carriers, adjusters, and internal agency teams. This is an excellent opportunity for an insurance professional who enjoys client advocacy, problem-solving, and delivering a high level of service within an independent agency environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the claims process, providing guidance, communication, and support.
• Assist clients with reporting claims and provide guidance through the First Notice of Loss (FNOL) process.
• Act as a liaison between insureds, insurance carriers, adjusters, and internal agency teams to facilitate communication and timely claim resolution.
• Monitor claim activity, follow up on outstanding items, and provide clients with regular updates.
• Advocate on behalf of agency clients to help ensure claims are handled effectively and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate claim records and update agency management systems as needed.
• Assist clients with coverage-related questions and explain the claims process in a clear and professional manner.
• Collaborate with account managers, producers, and service teams to deliver exceptional client experience.
• Identify recurring claim trends and communicate observations or recommendations to agency leadership.
• Maintain strong working relationships with carrier partners, claim representatives, and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• College Degree preferred or relevant claim experience
• Strong understanding of commercial claims
• Experience working with insurance carriers, claims adjusters, and insured clients
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to providing exceptional service
• Proficient in client management systems and workflow integration
