Agency Asset Analyst
About the role
Responsible for performing general support functions, moderate research and financial analysis of multifamily properties, loans and portfolios for Portfolio Managers within the asset and risk management of multifamily agency loans.
What You’ll Do
- Monitor a portfolio of loans; perform quarterly financial statement analysis and review of 3rd party inspections.
- Track market and submarket performance and forecasts for assigned cities.
- Conduct research for territory markets not covered by main industry research firms; identify and analyze macroeconomic issues in assigned markets.
- Track major loan events such as interest-only expiration, hedge expirations, loan maturity; analyze potential impacts on performance.
- Provide customer service support to assigned loan producers and clients.
- Work with loan servicing company to meet client needs and requests.
- Prepare various portfolio monthly and quarterly reports.
- Perform Fannie and Freddie mandated inspections of assigned properties as required.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university required.
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience and/or training.
- Inspection Certification preferred.
- Will be required to obtain and meet Fannie/Freddie certification requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers.
- Ability to effectively present information.
- Knowledge of financial terms and principles.
- Intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
- Intermediate experience in Microsoft Suite Products including: Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
- Decisions made with understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and timelines.
