About the role

Age Friendly Engagement Coordinator – Project Support role based in Darlington, County Durham. Permanent, part‑time position supporting older people to share their experiences and influence local decisions.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with older people to help them share experiences, views and ideas.
• Facilitate conversations and gather insight from older communities.
• Build relationships and support inclusive, locally‑led activities.
• Collect and analyse feedback, produce reports.
• Ensure the voices of older people influence service improvements and local decisions.
• Contribute to making Darlington a better place to grow older.

Requirements

• Experience working with older people and communities.
• Confidence in building relationships and facilitating conversations.
• Ability to gather insight and support inclusive activities.
• Comfortable working collaboratively and valuing lived experience and community knowledge.
