Ag Sr. Operator
About the role
The Team Leader is responsible for leading and achieving manufacturing goals in areas such as safety, quality, production, and efficiency. They are responsible for setting up and supervising extrusion and auxiliary equipment.
Responsibilities
- Knows and helps implement the Company's quality vision policy.
- Supervises multiple operators running multiple lines, ensuring high standards of output and quality.
- Administers regular reviews with employees regarding company policy and recommends disciplinary procedures.
- Conducts monthly safety meetings and ensures adherence to safety protocols, work habits, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintains quality standards according to specifications and tolerances, maintains correct paperwork, and monitors production requirements.
- Maximizes equipment efficiencies to meet defined plant objectives, inputs WebEFF data daily, and monitors yield reports.
- Uses knowledge of resins, additives, concentrates, etc., to adjust manufacturing conditions and improve efficiencies.
- Works to meet or exceed department and plant goals, maintains housekeeping, trains replacements, assists maintenance, performs routine equipment repairs, and communicates with maintenance about necessary repairs and improvements.
- Communicates effectively and collaborates with team members to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Able to use hand tools for mechanical repairs.
- Experience as a Machine Operator of mechanical equipment in the production of blown film.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and ratio calculation.
- Ability to lead and supervise others.
- Basic PC knowledge.
Essential Physical Requirements
- Sitting to prepare reports and use computer equipment for approximately 10% of the workday.
- Walking to inspect facility, including raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods, and overall manufacturing and warehouse operations, for as much as 100% of the workday.
- Exerting up to 60 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and up to 40 pounds of force regularly.
