Ag Mobile Response Technician

Duties

• Conducts work independently at customer locations working out of an equipped service truck.
• Performs diagnostic work on equipment to verify needed repairs per estimate.
• Notifies service manager if initial diagnosis is inaccurate.
• Performs inspections on equipment advising customers of findings, recommends repairs and upsells value added improvements.
• Performs assigned work in accordance with the estimate and the schedule. If completion deadlines cannot be met, or additional work is discovered, notifies the service manager immediately so a recovery plan can be developed.
• Keeps accurate times records by segment on worked performed.
• Recommends additional service work to maximize machine productivity, reduce downtime, and add value for the customer.
• Safely operates vehicles and equipment needed for the job.
• Ensures that all parts requested for the job are billed and parts not used are returned in a timely manner.
• Submits work order detail to the Service Manager immediately upon the completion of each segment.
• Helps maintain company fixed assets as required.
• Attends training and KEI events to further develop skill sets.

Qualifications

• A technical school degree or equivalent experience in mechanical repairs.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a heavy equipment technician.
• Knowledge of product line, electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Self-motivated and able to work without direct supervision.
• Ability to use our computer operating system (PFW IntelliDealer).
• Ability to safely operate vehicles and equipment needed for the job.
• Class “A” CDL desirable but not required, or the ability to get one.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Pay

Pay is commensurate with experience.

The schedule is flexible and may vary based on the needs of the dealership.
