About the role
Under the direction of the VP of Operations, the Maintenance Manager is responsible for providing planning and direction for regional plant maintenance. This position creates preventative maintenance/repair plans and schedules for multiple plant locations. The Maintenance Manager will work with the local plant manager, Airgas maintenance staff and/or third-party vendors to ensure the effective working condition of plant equipment including pumps, hoses, and manifolds.
Responsibilities
- Oversees the creation of preventative maintenance plans and job plans to ensure that all plant locations are up to date on all preventative maintenance.
- Ensures minimal production disruption due to faulty or damaged equipment.
- Develops the Plant Project Capital budget, execution, and coordination with various areas and plants.
- Coordinates and executes SAFECOR and Gas Engineering Group initiatives regionwide.
- Collaborates with local plant managers, area operations managers, and location plant staff to schedule and complete needed maintenance using Airgas staff and/or approved third-party vendors.
- Evaluates, builds, and maintains critical parts list for plants and ensures plants stock correct equipment and parts.
- Partners with plants to purchase parts.
- Tracks and approves maintenance cost across the entire region.
- Works with sites to manage and forecast maintenance costs.
- Acts as a resource for plants with technical/repair questions.
- Acts as a back-up for the Field Service Technicians on all plant cryo equipment issues.
- Performs preventative maintenance on critical components including pumps, hoses, quick connects, and manifolds.
- Manages maintenance action plans resulting from plant safety audits.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
- 1-3+ years of experience in equipment maintenance.
- Experience in quality control and safety procedures.
- 30% travel expected across the West Region.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working with cryogenics is highly preferred.

Pay
$120k – $130k annually
