Ag Combine Technician

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of combine harvesters / other agricultural equipment to identify mechanical issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, filter replacements, and adjustments on combine or agricultural machinery.
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems, employing advanced troubleshooting techniques.
  • Performs diagnostics in the field as required
  • Responsible for complete and thorough documentation of diagnostics and repairs performed on work orders and on-time submittal of information.
  • Accountable for billable time and assigned work orders.
  • Collaborate with farmers and operators to understand their concerns and provide tailored solutions.
  • Stay updated on the latest technologies and advancements in combine machinery and agricultural equipment to enhance service delivery.
  • Operate and maintain vehicles, tools and equipment required to perform job responsibilities as well as maintaining a clean work area while performing work in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Add additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in agriculture mechanics or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience working with combine harvesters or agricultural equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills with a focus on diagnostics.
  • Able to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Have or be able to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Certificate.

Qualifications

  • Experience with precision agriculture technology and modern combine systems.
  • Familiarity with electronic diagnostic tools and software.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and team members.

Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies

  • Proficient in mechanical and electrical repair techniques for agricultural machinery.
  • Experience with hydraulic systems and diagnostics.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and procedures in agricultural maintenance.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a remote work environment.

Pay

Salary: $30 – $38 per hr.
$5000 sign on bonus
