Job Summary Leads and oversees multiple afterschool program sites, supervises staff, manages program operations, ensures grant compliance, administers budgets, and collaborates with schools and community partners to deliver high-quality afterschool programming. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Education, Recreation, Family Consumer Studies or other related field; plus, three (3) years of experience in a field closely related to these duties, of which one (1) year must have been in a supervisory capacity; OR an equivalent combination of related education and experience. Education may not be substituted for the required supervisory experience. Preference will be given to applicants with direct experience related to Afterschool Programming. A valid Driver’s License accepted by the State of Utah is required at the time of hire. A valid Driver’s License issued by the State of Utah must be obtained within six (6) months of hire to operate a County vehicle. Due to the nature of this position, the successful applicant must pass a required background check through fingerprinting and enrollment in the continuous RAP Back (Record of Arrest and Prosecution Back) program in accordance with current County Human Resources policy requirements. Essential Functions The following duties and responsibilities are intended to be representative of the work performed by the incumbent(s) in this position and are not all-inclusive. Works with host schools and partners to create program design and ensure the delivery of high-quality afterschool programs using evidence-based practices at multiple sites.Supervises staff, which includes hiring, orienting, training, assigning, and reviewing work performance, annual work performance appraisals, and discipline.Interprets and implements agency policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of site staff and clients.Makes budget recommendations for afterschool programs, training requirements, and staffing needs.Conducts regular staff meetings to ensure clear communication between co-workers and to address any issues or problems at the after-school program sites.Creates and maintains a system of data collection and ensure all required reporting and grant requirements are met regularly.Provides quality assurance for sites through auditing to ensure compliance with funding source requirements.Maintains ongoing working relationships with allied agencies to coordinate services and disseminate information.
