Afterschool Program Staff

About the Role

The program serves children ages 2 to 14 in a safe, fun, and engaging after-school environment.

Reports to: Director of Extended Programs, Chris McDuffie

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, caring learning environment for students after school
• Maintain a structured schedule that includes time for snack, homework assistance, fun activity, and free time
• Take attendance and keep detailed sign-out records to ensure students are picked up by an approved individual
• Prepare snacks and plan activities and crafts
• Supervise and engage with students, ensuring a safe and positive environment

Requirements

• Previous experience in child care
• Ability to work as a team player with flexibility in availability and assignment
• Strong communication skills and ability to take direction and work well with others
• Ability to travel between buildings independently on an expansive 122+ acre campus
• Frequent walking, standing, stooping, and bending throughout the day
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Pay

Starting at $12.00/hour

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 2:30 p.m.–6:00 p.m., at least three days per week
