Afterschool Preschool Assistant

About the role

In this role, you'll support and advance Edina Public Schools' mission, vision, and core values by providing program support to Early Learning Center staff, supporting preschool teachers and engaging students in early childhood programming. You'll supervise students, offer guidance, and serve as a role model for appropriate behavior, helping create a caring, inclusive environment where every child feels safe, included, and encouraged to grow.

Location & schedule

• Location: Early Learning and Family Center
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 2:00 PM–5:30 PM
• Position Type: Part-time, 9-month position with the option to work summer

Pay

$17.48 – $24.04 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Willingness to obtain CPR, First Aid, Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), and DHS Certification upon hire or within six months of employment
• A passion for working with children and supporting their growth
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
• The ability to stay adaptable, attentive to detail, and work independently
