Afterschool Data Specialist - Copper Hills Elementary
Job Summary
Affords assistance to the Afterschool Program Coordinator in managing afterschool program data including data collection and management, participant registration, enrollment, attendance, annual surveys, and reports. Assists with additional tasks as directed by the Coordinator.
About the Role
Salt Lake County Youth Services offers support to schools and families through Afterschool Programs, Summer Programming, and Parental Support. Goals include keeping kids safe, providing healthy adult role models, teaching new skills, and giving youth confidence through various activities.
Essential Functions
- Assists in the management of data collection and data entry with registrations, enrollment, and surveys.
- Provides basic quality assurance functions to ensure data integrity.
- Trains on the user system to ensure that the information is entered correctly.
- Enters data into database system.
- Generates reports for users from the database.
- Assists Program Coordinator with various functions of day-to-day operation of program including working directly with youth during program hours.
- Helps with the submission of periodic division and grant reporting.

What You'll Do Here
Your team will work directly with youth from diverse backgrounds in a school setting to provide a safe and healthy environment by assisting in the management of data collection and entry received through registrations, activity participation, and surveys. What We Need From You
- Equivalent of six months of part-time work experience (720 hours) in a field closely related to Afterschool and/or Youth Programming or 12 credit hours from an accredited school or university in a related field.
- Must be reliable and punctual!
- Must enjoy working with youth of all ages and motivated to guide and encourage their growth both academically and interpersonally.
- Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with a diverse population from different social and ethnic backgrounds.
- Driven to not only set and achieve goals but also to see opportunities where changes are necessary and take the initiative to work with your team to implement improvements.
- Must be at least 18 years old.

Pay
$16.88 - 19.00/per hour
Work Location
Variety of schools in Kearns, Magna, and West Valley
Schedule
- Monday - Friday, afternoons, 20-28 hours per week, which includes 3+ hours in program plus planning, prep time and data entry.
- Summer hours are M-TH from about 9am-4pm, plus prep and planning time for about 28 hours a week for our week program.
- You will have about 4 weeks off in mid July- mid August.
