About the Role
We are a busy, easygoing family of five in Hartford, CT, seeking a dependable afterschool babysitter for our three children, ages 12, 9, and 4, for the upcoming school year. Our current sitter is moving abroad but will assist with interviews to provide insights into our family.
Schedule
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday: 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM
- Wednesday: 1:30 PM to 6:00 PM
- Some flexibility on end times and negotiable Fridays
- Bonus: availability for extended daytime hours during the weeks of August 17th and 24th before school starts
Pay & Reimbursement
- $27 per hour on the books
- Mileage reimbursed for driving the kids
Responsibilities
- School pickups
- Driving to extracurricular activities
- Homework assistance
- Preparing snacks and light meals
- Encouraging engaging, screen-free activities at home
Requirements
- Must have your own car and a clean driving record
- Pet-friendliness is a must (we have a super-friendly dog)
