Afternoon Nurse Supervisor - Regency at Troy

About the role

The RN Charge Nurse oversees and coordinates resident care during assigned shifts, ensuring compliance with regulations and facility policy. They provide clinical supervision to nursing staff, ensure continuity of care, and serve as a key resource for residents, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervises LPNs, CNAs/STNAs
• Plans, assigns, and directs work in alignment with resident needs and staff capabilities
• Prepares work assignments, adjusting for staffing levels and resident safety
• Receives staffing-related calls and arranges replacements as needed
• Transfers employees among units per staffing demands
• Completes performance evaluations and provides input on hiring, disciplining, or terminating staff
• Adjusts break schedules and resolves staff concerns
• Oversee unit operations during absence of higher-level management
• Use independent judgment in accordance with company policies and applicable laws

Requirements

• Preferred: Minimum of two years’ experience in a long-term care setting
• Current state license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Certified in CPR or within 90 days of employment

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
• Experience: Minimum of two years’ experience in a long-term care setting
