About This Role

Join the support team at Roxbury Day Care Center in Succasunna, NJ as a Afternoon Childcare Assistant. This role pays $15 – $16/Hr and requires relevant professional experience.

Roxbury Day Care Center is currently looking for individuals to work part-time afternoons from 2:30 to 6:00 PM. Ideal candidates will possess some childcare experience, patience, and compassion towards young children.

What You'll Do

• Ensure the care, safety, and well-being of all children in the group.
• Implement simple activities that cater to their age group's developmental needs, including outside games, rainy or snowy day activities, games, and simple art projects.
• Assist with cleaning duties such as washing tables before and after snack, as well as at the end of the shift.
• Work as a team player and maintain a positive attitude.
• Positions are available in Infant, Toddler, and Preschool Classrooms.

Requirements

• Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms.
• Ability to act as mediator between children.
• Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable personality.
• A High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• An excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods.
• Excellent communication and instructional skills.

Nice to Have

• A Child Development Associate Certification is highly desirable.
