Aftermarket Sales Representative / Outside Sales Representative - Business to Business Sales (B2B)

Location: Grand Rapids, MI

About the role

This business-to-business sales position is responsible for the sale of contract maintenance programs for material handling equipment and catalog parts sales in an assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Pursue new business and develop key existing accounts.
• Analyze opportunities, identify key personnel, and develop strong business relationships via cold calls, presentations, and following up on leads for new business.
• Develop sales strategies, proposals, and forecasts.
• Develop and conduct product demonstrations and sales presentations.
• Prepare quotations, cost reports, performance reports, and customer correspondence.
• Develop a territory management plan to maximize time with customers, seek new business, and enhance customer retention by monitoring customer satisfaction.
• Utilize online resources to maintain accurate records of sales calls, customer files, and sales activity information.
• Discuss sales activities with management.

Requirements

• Less than 2 years of related experience.
• High School diploma or equivalency.

Qualifications

• Good communication, interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in business management, marketing, entrepreneurship, professional selling, or related business program (a plus).
• Several years of successful sales experience (a plus).
• Business-to-business (B2B) sales experience (a plus).
• Problem-solving capabilities, strong sense of urgency, responsibility, and self-motivation.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability and willingness to work outside normal business hours to prepare for sales activities.
