About the role

The Kids Program Instructor plays a crucial role in enhancing our after-school learning program by delivering engaging and educational recreational experiences for youth members in grades K–12.

Responsibilities

  • Create and display a weekly schedule that outlines activities for the day.
  • Support the engagement and success of every student.
  • Lead age-appropriate sports activities such as drills, scrimmages, and games.
  • Greet parents and children warmly; encourage participation with enthusiasm.
  • Engage with kids during sessions, ensuring all children are actively participating, with extra attention to those needing guidance.
  • Safely transfer kids to and from activities within the Club.
  • Represent the club professionally through positive interactions, appropriate attire, and timely responses.
  • Communicate with the Family Programming Director and parents in a timely and professional manner regarding child's progress or any issues.
  • Participate in camp events, programs, staff meetings, training sessions, and marketing efforts related to kids programming.
  • Flexibility in work schedule, as job may require day and evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

  • Minimum one (1) year of experience working with children in a childcare, babysitting, camp, coaching, or instructional setting.
  • Strong background in recreational programming, age-appropriate instruction, and effective group management.
  • Genuine passion for inspiring children through fun, fitness, and learning.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Professional, friendly manner and excellent customer service attitude.
  • Strong verbal communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Enthusiastic, responsible, and dependable team player.
  • Self-motivated, takes initiative, and willing to acquire new skills.
  • Well-organized and detail oriented.

Other Job Functions
