About the role
The Kids Program Instructor plays a crucial role in enhancing our after-school learning program by delivering engaging and educational recreational experiences for youth members in grades K–12.
Responsibilities
- Create and display a weekly schedule that outlines activities for the day.
- Support the engagement and success of every student.
- Lead age-appropriate sports activities such as drills, scrimmages, and games.
- Greet parents and children warmly; encourage participation with enthusiasm.
- Engage with kids during sessions, ensuring all children are actively participating, with extra attention to those needing guidance.
- Safely transfer kids to and from activities within the Club.
- Represent the club professionally through positive interactions, appropriate attire, and timely responses.
- Communicate with the Family Programming Director and parents in a timely and professional manner regarding child's progress or any issues.
- Participate in camp events, programs, staff meetings, training sessions, and marketing efforts related to kids programming.
- Flexibility in work schedule, as job may require day and evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications
- Minimum one (1) year of experience working with children in a childcare, babysitting, camp, coaching, or instructional setting.
- Strong background in recreational programming, age-appropriate instruction, and effective group management.
- Genuine passion for inspiring children through fun, fitness, and learning.
- CPR certification required.
- Professional, friendly manner and excellent customer service attitude.
- Strong verbal communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Enthusiastic, responsible, and dependable team player.
- Self-motivated, takes initiative, and willing to acquire new skills.
- Well-organized and detail oriented.
Other Job Functions
