Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or enrollment in 2+ years of child development coursework
• 2+ years verified child care experience
• Competency in Theatre Arts or Performance
• Prior experience working with children (professional, volunteer, or familial)
• Passion for working with children in a fun, diverse environment
• Ability to pass all relevant clearances and complete required trainings, including 6 hours of child care-related trainings annually

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging, child-centered, and developmentally appropriate learning experiences, including potentially overseeing classroom staff
• Provide quality adult/child interactions through engagement, positive feedback, and open-ended questions
• Use positive reinforcement techniques for behavior management and redirection
• Maintain effective, timely communication with parents/guardians
• Accurately maintain daily attendance records, emergency contact binders, allergy reports, timesheets, incident reports, weekly reports, and child observation reports
• Ensure centers are well-stocked with quality learning materials, organized, and labeled appropriately
• Attend monthly (or more frequent) team-planning meetings
