About the Role
Support elementary-aged children in out-of-school programs on school grounds by leading, coaching, and mentoring teachers, implementing curriculum tailored to individual needs, and creating a safe, nurturing environment for learning and play.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and model behaviors for less experienced teachers
- Implement curriculum aligned with children's needs
- Foster a safe, engaging environment for children
- Partner with parents to support children's development
- Collaborate with staff and leadership to meet enrollment, accreditation, and engagement goals
- Build positive relationships with families, community contacts, and regulatory authorities
Requirements
- Outstanding customer service and organizational skills
- Active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or NAEYC candidacy
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift at least 40 pounds and work indoors or outdoors
- Proficiency in English communication
Qualifications
- Preferred: 2-3 years early childhood education experience
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education
- Preferred: State trainer approval
Pay
Hourly pay ranging from $16.90 to $22.85.
