After School Staff

Duties

• Create personalized lesson plans based on age appropriate groups.
• Plan and participate in a variety of activities.
• Maintain the classroom environment by organizing, cleaning, and monitoring youth behavior.
• Provide homework assistance to youth in academic areas and promote healthy study habits.
• Communicate and supervise youth in a positive and patient manner, understanding different youth development stages.
• Participate in training to gain information, build skills, and ensure quality of the Sandy Club program.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with youth in tutoring, teaching, or mentoring is not required but will be prioritized and considered for this position.
• Familiarity with assisting with academics from kindergarten through high school level reading and math.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to lead youth in daily activities.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to build relationships with youth of all ages.
• Reliable and punctual.

Qualifications

Experience working with youth in tutoring, teaching, or mentoring is not required but will be prioritized and considered for this position.

Pay

$17.00-$17.50 per hour.

• Monday-Thursday: 11:30am-5:15pm
• Closed Fridays
