About the role

Our part time Site Directors IIII oversee our afterschool program at one of many elementary schools throughout Leander ISD.

Responsibilities

  • Guiding staff and impacting the lives of children from Preschool to 5th grade by providing a safe environment through leading games, songs, sports, and special events
  • Creatively designing exciting program curriculum and maintaining supplies for these kid-friendly activities for after school and All Day Out program
  • Motivating and training staff by seeking out unique and enriching experiences like guest speakers
  • Serving as a model site for new hires four days a week, and conducting site visits at other schools to observe and provide feedback one day a week
  • Leading team meetings every week to foster collaboration and support
  • Connecting with parents at pick up time to discuss program activities and the kiddo’s day
  • Ensuring safety and communication with the school by timely and accurate record keeping and school checklists
  • Managing and developing a team of 5+ counselors in a mentor role to achieve a quality afterschool program

Requirements

  • At least 2 years experience in a previous YMCA leadership role or licensed Child Care preferred
  • Required 6 months of Licensed childcare experience or experience in a public/private accredited school
  • At least 30 clock hours of training in child/youth development received in the last two months, with documentation
  • Must meet minimum requirements to become an Operational Director certified through Texas Health & Human Services within 30 days or have an approved written plan
  • Must be 21 years of age with High School diploma, Associate's degree preferred
  • Must possess a valid Texas Drivers License and show proof of insurability
  • Experience supervising and motivating a team
  • Effective budgetary and programmatic experience

Qualifications

  • Must be able to pass a drug test and background checks

Pay

$17.00 to $20.00/hour
