Position Summary
Program Teachers support the Program Manager by creating and implementing appropriate and engaging activities in a safe, supervised, and structured environment. They coordinate with the Program Manager for administrative tasks and assist during their absence. They also work directly with groups of students, planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, supervising children, and maintaining a positive work environment.
Schedule
After school programs operate Monday through Friday from dismissal until 5:30pm or 6:00pm. Morning programs run from 7:00am/7:15am to the start of school. Five-day availability is preferred but not required.

Requirements
- Cleared through NYS OCFS (completion of background checks, medical clearance, and fingerprinting)
- At least 18 years old
- Two or more years of experience working with children
- Pursuing or completed degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, or a related field
Physical Requirements
This position is very active and requires walking, bending, kneeling, running, twisting, squatting, and lifting up to 10 pounds at a time.
