About the role
We are seeking ministry-minded individuals to join our After School team. The After School Program Leader’s primary role is fostering youth development in an after school setting by leading elementary students in enrichment activities. This is a non-exempt, part-time position averaging 17-20 hours per week during the school calendar year.
As a Christian ministry, Mentoring Alliance exists to mobilize godly people into the lives of kids and families, providing tangible help and eternal hope. We consider an After School Program Leader to be first and foremost a Minister of the Gospel.
Responsibilities
- Lead elementary students in enrichment activities in an after-school setting.
- Serve as a role model and mentor to kids in the community, fostering their development and helping them reach their full potential.
- Exhibit behaviors in accordance with the Mentoring Alliance Statement of Faith.
Requirements
- Must be at least 17 years of age (High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred; some post-secondary training highly preferred).
- Passion and love for working with elementary school-aged children (experience preferred).
- Able to work Monday - Friday, 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. during the school calendar year.
- Ability to earn CPR/First Aid certification (mandatory).
- Pass a mandatory background and sex offender check.
- Valid driver’s license or valid ID.
- Legally allowed to work in the United States.
- Dependable transportation.
Skills
- Spanish-speaking ability greatly valued.
