Essential Functions
- Lead a group of children in After-School program activities.
- Guide/help the children adjust and grow within the program guidelines.
- Plan and implement daily curriculum for children to follow.
- Observe student behavior, assess its appropriateness, enforce safety regulations, and apply behavior management techniques.
- Guide any member with behavior, attitude, or emotional problems, referring serious problems to the Childcare Director.
- Absorb and assist with all After-School Program activities and other activities as assigned.
- Maintain safety, cleanliness, and discipline of children, area, and equipment.
Requirements
- High School Education or GED.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Experience: 2 years of relevant experience.
- CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain certification.
- Basic childcare skills.
Skills & Competencies
- Skills in problem solving.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with groups of participants (age and skill level), and provide necessary instruction to children.
