Notre Dame School of Milwaukee is a Catholic school founded by the School Sisters of Notre Dame in Milwaukee, WI. Established in 1996 as Notre Dame Middle School, an all-girls 5th-8th grade institution, it now serves students from K3 through 8th grade. The school operates a co-educational primary school with a Spanish and English dual-language model, alongside all-boys and all-girls middle schools and an Early Childhood Education program. NDSM addresses urgent community needs through student-focused education, currently serving over 690 students across three campuses.

About the Role

The ASP Office Administrator serves as the first point of contact for students, families, staff, and visitors. This position is responsible for maintaining a safe, welcoming, and orderly school entrance by following all school safety and visitor-management procedures, while also providing professional telephone and front-office support after school hours.

Reports to: ASP Director

Responsibilities

  • Professionally represents the school in interactions with parents, community, staff, and students.
  • Appropriately maintains and secures confidential records and inquiries.
  • Performs general office duties, including answering multi-line phones, routing telephone calls or messages to appropriate staff, and greeting the public.
  • Assists parents, students, and teachers with translations.
  • Calls home if a student suffers an accident or feels sick. Assists students in cases of bleeding or vomiting, following security norms and using gloves.
  • Files an accident report, keeps it in the correct binder, and provides the Assistant Vice President of Finance and Benefits with a copy.
  • Assists the ASP Director as needed.
  • Maintains professionalism and politeness in all personal contact.
  • Informs the ASP of any situation that requires attention.

Requirements

  • High school degree.
  • Office and customer service experience.
  • Communication skills with proficiency in both English and Spanish.

Work Environment

The role requires regular mobility, including walking, using hands, talking, hearing, and smelling. The employee will frequently sit, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Occasional lifting and/or moving of up to ten pounds is required.

Schedule

  • Monday–Thursday: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
  • Friday: 1:30 PM – 5:00 PM
