After-school mentor needed near VCU to support and guide students in foster care. This is a part-time babysitting position located in Richmond, VA 23294.

Responsibilities

• Plan engaging activities for students
• Offer emotional support
• Foster academic growth
• Assist in homework completion and provide positive reinforcement
• Monitor student progress and communicate with parents/guardians
• Collaborate with school staff and contribute to a nurturing environment
• Assist in developing life skills and encourage independence
• Create a safe and inclusive space for learning and personal development

Requirements

• Must demonstrate empathy, patience, and excellent communication skills
• Experience in mentoring or working with youth preferred
• Experienced sitter
• Background checked
• Verified college enrollment
• Education: Attending/Graduated College
