Job Description
After-school mentor needed near ASU. Support and guide students in foster care. Plan engaging activities, offer emotional support, and foster academic growth. Assist in homework completion and provide positive reinforcement. Monitor student progress and communicate with parents/guardians. Collaborate with school staff and contribute to a nurturing environment. Assist in developing life skills and encourage independence. Create a safe and inclusive space for learning and personal development.
Must demonstrate empathy, patience, and excellent communication skills. Experience in mentoring or working with youth preferred.
Qualifications
- Aged 18+ years old
- Experience in mentoring or working with youth preferred
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Pass a background check
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Must have a valid CPR certification
