After School Counselor

About the role

The YMCA of Central Texas is seeking excited team members to join our After School Program in schools throughout Liberty Hill ISD. This is a rewarding opportunity to help children in your area learn and grow through play as well as build a rewarding career working with children!

Responsibilities

• Help kids in elementary schools have fun while they learn and grow through play.
• Create a positive environment for K – 5th graders to grow and learn.
• Lead groups of kids through exciting curriculum and activities such as painting, playing, coloring, and singing.

Requirements

• A positive attitude.
• A willingness to get paid to play.
• Be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma.
• Pass a background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

• Experience with children in elementary schools.
• Ability to work flexible hours, Monday - Friday from 2:30-6:30pm.

Pay

This part-time opportunity pays between $13 and $15.50 per hour, depending on your experience.

Schedule

Monday - Friday from 2:30-6:30pm. In the summer, we transition to an all-day program.
