About the role
The After School Counselor’s primary role is fostering youth development in an after school setting by leading elementary students in enrichment activities.
Responsibilities
- Foster youth development through enrichment activities
- Lead elementary students in after school settings
- Be a role model for kids in the community
- Have an eternal impact on kids in the community
- Work Monday - Friday from 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. during the school calendar year
- Earn CPR/First Aid certification (mandatory)
- Pass Mandatory Background/Sex offender check
- Have a valid driver’s license or ID
- Have dependable transportation
- Spanish-speaking ability greatly valued
Requirements
- At least 17 years of age
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred
- Some post-secondary training highly preferred
- A passion and love for working with elementary school-aged children
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children is preferred
Qualifications
- Agree with and exhibit behaviors in accordance with the Mentoring Alliance Statement of Faith

Pay
Non-exempt, part-time position averaging 17-20 hours per week.
Schedule
