After School Counselor
About the role
The YMCA of Central Texas is seeking excited team members to join our After School Program in schools throughout Waco ISD. This is a rewarding opportunity to help children in your area learn and grow through play as well as build a rewarding career working with children!
Responsibilities
- Help kids in elementary schools have fun while they learn and grow through play.
- Create a positive environment for K – 5th graders to grow and learn.
- Lead groups of kids through exciting curriculum and activities such as painting, playing, coloring, and singing.
Requirements
- A positive attitude.
- A willingness to get paid to play.
- At least 18 years old and have a high school diploma.
- Able to pass a background check and drug screen.

Pay
We pay between $13 and $14 per hour, depending on your experience.
Schedule
This part-time opportunity requires you to be available Monday - Friday from 2:30 – 6:30 pm. In the summer we transition to an all day program.
