After School Counselor

About the role

The After School Counselor's primary role is fostering youth development in an after school setting by leading elementary students in enrichment activities. This role is non-exempt, part-time, averaging 17-20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Foster youth development through enrichment activities
• Lead elementary students in various after school settings
• Develop kids to reach their full potential
• Be a role model to kids in the community

Requirements

• At least 17 years of age
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred, with some post-secondary training highly preferred
• A passion and love for working with elementary school-aged children
• Experience working with elementary school-aged children is preferred
• Able to work Monday - Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. during the school calendar year
• Earn CPR/First Aid certification (mandatory)
• Pass Mandatory Background/Sex offender check
• Valid driver’s license or Valid ID
• Dependable transportation
• Spanish-speaking ability greatly valued

Pay

The pay for this position is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

The After School Counselor works Monday - Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. during the school calendar year.
