Job Summary
We are seeking ministry-minded individuals to be on our After School team. The After School Counselor’s primary role is fostering youth development in an after school setting by leading elementary students in enrichment activities.
Responsibilities
- Foster youth development in an after school setting
- Lead elementary students in enrichment activities
- Be a role model to kids in your community
- Average 17-20 hours per week
Requirements
- At least 17 years of age
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred and some post-secondary training highly preferred
- Passive knowledge of and commitment to the Mentoring Alliance Statement of Faith
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children is preferred
- Able to work Monday - Friday 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. during the school calendar year
- Earn CPR/First Aid certification (mandatory)
- Pass Mandatory Background/Sex offender check
- Valid driver’s license or Valid ID
- Dependable transportation
- Spanish-speaking ability greatly valued
