About the role
The Afterschool Program Sports Coach is responsible for organizing and overseeing sports practices, ensuring the safety of scholars, and managing key administrative tasks. The coach will collaborate closely with the Afterschool Program Lead and Assistant Lead for additional support and ensure all documentation is completed for each game or event.
Responsibilities
- Organize and lead practices to develop students' athletic skills.
- Ensure scholar safety at all times during practices and games.
- Take daily attendance and track student participation.
- Complete necessary documentation for each game, including game reports, permissions, and other required records.
- Collaborate with the Afterschool Program Lead and Assistant Lead to coordinate logistics and receive necessary support.
- Interact with parents, students, and staff, providing timely communication and addressing questions or concerns related to the sports program.
- Work with the Afterschool Program Site Lead and Accounting Clerk to ensure all equipment and supplies are ordered and available.
- Support staff coverage, coordinating substitute coaches, and preparing them for duties as needed.
- Record keeping for attendance, discipline, and other required data.
