About the role

The Governing Body are looking to appoint an After School Club Assistant to support our After School Club, providing a safe, secure, and caring environment for children during club hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and a safe and secure environment for all children.
• Take all necessary steps to ensure the safety and well-being of the children and staff.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a high-quality, safe, and caring environment during club hours.
• Meet legal requirements of the EYFS framework.
• Establish good relationships with parents of children attending the club.
• Work closely with school staff to ensure a smooth transition between school and club activities, promoting a common ethos.
• Take responsibility for appropriate parts of the school’s premises during club activities and coordinate with the school’s site team.
• Promote the club at school events, such as ‘new intake’ parents’ meetings.
• Ensure high-quality promotional materials and administration documents are available at all times.

Schedule

• 12 hours per week, 3pm to 6pm.
• 4 days per week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday).
• Term time plus 1 additional week.

Pay

• SCP 3 to 5: £24,796 to £25,583 (actual salary £7,780 to £8,027).

Requirements

• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Enhanced DBS check required.
• Pre-employment checks, including references, will be undertaken before appointment.
