After Hours Care Team Lead

About the role

Harrison County Hospital is seeking a Team Lead for the After Hours Care Clinic. Under the supervision of the After-Hours Care Manager, this position assists with daily operations, workflow coordination, staff support, patient care oversight, and customer service functions. The Team Lead serves as a working leader by supporting staff, ensuring clinic efficiency, assisting with scheduling and operational concerns, maintaining regulatory compliance, and promoting exceptional patient care. This role also backs up the Manager during their absence.

Schedule

Full-time, 40 hrs/wk. Monday–Friday 12p–8p, Saturday–Sunday 9a–5p, Holidays 9a–2p. Required to work every other weekend and cover shifts for the Manager when on vacation.

Responsibilities

• Assist the After-Hours Care Manager with daily operations and workflow coordination.
• Support staff and ensure clinic efficiency.
• Assist with scheduling and operational concerns.
• Maintain regulatory compliance.
• Promote exceptional patient care.
• Serve as a backup for the Manager during their absence.
• Demonstrate knowledge, skills, and behaviors appropriate to the populations served (infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric).
• Exhibit communication skills necessary to interpret age-specific responses to situations/treatments.
• Interpret and provide age-specific treatments.
• Effectively communicate with all age groups served in the clinic.
• Involve family and/or significant others in discharge plans of care.

Requirements

• Previous relevant acute care experience required.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Current applicable licensure/certification required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, staff, providers, and leadership.
