About the Role

Subject areas include Automotive Technology, Health Assisting, Metal Fabrication, Cosmetology, Support Services & Networking, and Advanced Manufacturing.

Job goal: To help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able, responsible, and productive citizens.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct classes for qualifying students in your specific content area and provide additional assistance to students as needed.
  • Work with the content area Directors in implementing the After Dark Program.
  • Know and apply the MA Curriculum Frameworks for the content area.
  • Ensure direct teacher instructional support is provided to all students (general education, special education, 504, ELL).
  • Provide grade assignments and prompt, frequent, ongoing, and consistent instructional feedback to students.
  • Maintain and record student grades; submit grades to the Director, Building Principal, and Guidance Department for PowerSchool updates.
  • Maintain and record attendance records in PowerSchool.
  • Hold family and student conferences when needed; contact families and students via phone, email, or letter to ensure program participation and completion.
  • Collaborate with the Director, Principal, family/guardian, and Guidance Counselor to address issues of student attendance and program completion.
  • Manage and maintain attendance logs, enrollment rosters, and student folders.
  • Manage and maintain data (attendance, course completion, pre/post assessments, progress, surveys) to document program implementation.
  • Complete data requests and reports related to the successful implementation of the program.
  • Supervise students during arrival and dismissal from the program.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure program success.
  • Foster a positive learning environment.

  • A high-school diploma or GED.
  • Sixty (60) credit hours of college coursework, an Associate’s Degree, or a passing score on one of the following assessments:
    • ParaPro Assessment
    • WorkKeys Certificate of Proficiency for Teacher Assistants
  • Current authorization to work in the United States by the first day of employment.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 5:45 PM.

Program runs from September 2, 2025, to June 12, 2025.

Pay

Per contract.
