AFSOC Cyber/Information Assurance Security Advisor
About the role
The job is located at Hurlburt Field, FL. The employee provides cybersecurity administration, cyber assurance management/documentation, and Risk Management Framework (RMF) assistance to the Command’s Chief Information Security Officer.
Responsibilities
- Aid in the oversight of AFSOC-managed information systems that support Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) IAW IC Directive 503.
- Assist with the Command’s Information System Security Officer (ISSO) Program.
- Manage incident response and monitoring, scanning, vulnerability reporting, and remediation efforts on the Command’s ISR platforms, networks, and security postures.
- Ensure Automated Information Systems (AIS) operations and administration are conducted in accordance with Public Laws, Executive Orders, and policies of various national-level agencies.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years hands-on cyber and information assurance experience out of the last 12 years.
- Candidates must fully comprehend the duties of a Cyber/Information Assurance Security Advisor and be DODM 8140 IAM Level II certified.
Desired Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of additional experience supporting Air Force and Special Operations Cyber and Information Assurance programs.
- Additional years of general experience in the fields of Cyber and Information Assurance is highly desired.
