We are seeking an experienced Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM) Analyst to support Army Aviation modernization efforts through Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) activities at Fort Rucker, Alabama.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development, integration, and execution of AFSIM-based Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) capabilities.
  • Assist government engineers and analysts in transitioning legacy models, data, scenarios, and analytical workflows into the modernized Integrated Digital Environment.
  • Develop, configure, and maintain AFSIM models, scenarios, simulations, and analytical products supporting Army Aviation missions.
  • Support mission engineering, mission effectiveness analysis, operational analysis, and experimentation activities.
  • Develop and execute simulation scenarios to evaluate current and future Army Aviation concepts, capabilities, and operational requirements.
  • Support modeling of aviation platforms, sensors, weapons, communications, electronic warfare, survivability, threats, and operational behaviors.
  • Support analysis of Manned-Unmanned Teaming (MUM-T), launched effects, and emerging Army Aviation operational concepts.
  • Assist in integrating AFSIM with other government-directed simulation, modeling, and analysis tools within the Integrated Digital Environment.
  • Identify and troubleshoot simulation, modeling, data, and integration issues and recommend solutions.
  • Support verification, validation, accreditation, and configuration management activities for AFSIM models and associated simulation components.
  • Analyze simulation outputs and develop technical findings, recommendations, briefings, reports, and other engineering documentation.
  • Participate in technical meetings, working groups, design reviews, experimentation events, and technology demonstrations.
  • Collaborate with government engineers, systems engineers, software developers, military analysts, aviators, operators, and capability developers.
  • Provide technical recommendations to support programmatic, engineering, and capability-development decisions.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging Army Aviation technologies, Future Vertical Lift (FVL) initiatives, MUM-T, launched effects, and evolving operational requirements.
  • Support the development and refinement of MS&A processes, tools, data, and analytical methodologies.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizen and an active DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Operations Research, Mathematics, Physics, or another related technical discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience with AFSIM or comparable military Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis environments.
  • Experience supporting MS&A, mission analysis, operational analysis, mission engineering, or military simulation activities.
  • Understanding of military simulation concepts, scenario development, data analysis, and simulation execution.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical information and translate results into clear findings and recommendations.
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a multidisciplinary government/contractor team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience supporting Army Aviation programs, organizations, or mission analysis activities.
  • Hands-on experience developing or modifying AFSIM scenarios, models, inputs, outputs, or analysis products.
  • Experience with aviation platforms, sensors, weapons, communications, electronic warfare, aircraft survivability, or threat modeling.
  • Familiarity with Future Vertical Lift (FVL), MUM-T, launched effects, or other emerging Army Aviation concepts.
  • Experience with mission engineering and mission effectiveness analysis.
  • Familiarity with digital engineering and Integrated Digital Environments (IDE).
  • Experience with simulation interoperability and integration of multiple MS&A tools.
  • Knowledge of modeling and simulation verification, validation, accreditation, and configuration management.
  • Experience with analytical tools such as MATLAB, Python, C++, C#, or other modeling and analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) principles and modern digital engineering practices.
  • Experience supporting prototype development, experimentation events, demonstrations, or operational assessments.
