Location: Wright-Patterson AFB, Dayton, Ohio
About the role
Provide full-spectrum Program Security and Security Operations Support to the Bombers PAE within the US Air Force Life Cycle Management Center.
Responsibilities
- Assist with Bombers PAE security operations support, including preparing and coordinating security-related briefing materials.
- Provide security-related technical assistance for briefings, meetings, and conferences.
- Record and track security program action items and suspenses.
- Manage newcomer and security-related databases.
- Provide special administrative and logistical assistance for the directorate visitor control function.
- Maintain an active Defense Information System for Security (formerly Joint Personnel Adjudication System) account and verify personnel security clearances.
- Process personnel security investigation documents, review them for accuracy, and track submitted requests for personnel security clearances.
- Assist with the development of security requirements into contractual commitments and coordinate DD Form 254, DoD Contract Security Classification Specification.
- Assist personnel with completing personnel security investigation paperwork, review packages for accuracy, and track personnel security clearances.
- Operate the installed access control system for the acquisition complex serving over 5,000 users, verifying credentials, issuing identity badges, and enforcing strict access control procedures with zero defects.
- Serve as the focal point for security, analyze security procedures, and coordinate/recommend solutions on security deficiencies with the assigned Government security task lead.
- Support the implementation of information, personnel, and industrial security programs to ensure classified material is protected according to DoW, USAF, AFMC, AFLCMC, Bombers PAE, Division, and program directives.
- Support the implementation of resource protection, force protection, and anti-terrorism programs in accordance with DoW, USAF, AFMC, AFLCMC, Bombers PAE, Division, and program security policy/instructions.
- Perform end-of-day safety and security checks for assigned facilities within the Bombers PAE.
- Identify security issues and recommend changes to security policy/instructions for consideration to the Government security lead.
- Conduct analyses of procedures regarding the handling, controlling, storage, and disposition of classified or critical weapon system hardware, including installed components, and document/submit reports with recommended actions.
- Evaluate measures designed to deny unauthorized access to buildings, facilities, resources, or stored information, and provide guidance on designing structures to resist potentially hostile acts.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is required due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements.
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience performing full-time DoW security functions or a Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of full-time security functions.
- Level-1 certified in the Defense Security Service (DSS) Security Professional Education Development Program. In lieu of certification, must demonstrate currency with other DSS training pertaining to information, personnel, industrial, and physical security programs.
