AFL Professional Caregiver

About the role

RHA Health Services is seeking a Positive and Personable Individual to join our team as an AFL Professional Caregiver. This role is available as an Independent Contractor.

Responsibilities

• Supports individuals and/or groups of persons with disabilities in the community.
• Aids in identifying and communicating the needs of the person receiving services.
• Implements services and supports to address the person’s goals and desired outcomes as outlined in the Centered Plan.
• Understands the individuals in the context of their personal history, social and family networks, and their hopes and dreams for the future.
• Works under direction and supervision to accomplish job tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED with some experience with the population supported preferred.
• Physical requirements: Regularly required to lift 30 lbs, must be able to lift a minimum of 70 lbs, pull a minimum of 50 lbs, squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stop. Must be able to regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Must be able to stand and walk.
• Vision requirements: Close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision. Must be able to talk and hear.

Qualifications

• Education: Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Licensure: No specific licenses required.
• Experience: Some experience with the population supported preferred.

Skills

• Positive attitude and personable demeanor.
• Compassion and dependability.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• CPR certification.
