Aerospace Systems Engineer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the modification and redefinition of requirements and their verification and validation (V&V) in support of the changes needed to the PPE.
• Ensure the system requirements are accurately and thoroughly defined.
• Define verification methods for all requirements.
• Coincide subsystem and system level test planning for requirement closure criteria.
• Ensure validation of mission requirements and concept of operations.
• Support collaboration between the relevant NASA Centers and PPE industry partners.

Required Skills

• Experience with defining requirements and their V&V.
• Experience with systems engineering for spacecraft hardware.
• Experience with formal systems engineering processes and their documentation.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with the NASA team and their industry partners.
• Highly motivated and able to work independently.
• Committed to successful collaboration with the NASA team and industry partners.

Desired Skills

• Knowledge or experience with NASA systems engineering processes.
• Experience with system level and subsystem integration for large spacecraft.
• Experience working with NASA spaceflight hardware projects.

Position Requirements

• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
• Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
